Notice
The New Brunswick Express Entry stream will begin to accept new Expressions of Interest (EOIs) under the following two (2) pathways in the coming weeks.
- New Brunswick Express Entry stream – Employment in New Brunswick pathway
- New Brunswick Express Entry stream – New Brunswick Interests pathway
At this time, the province will not be considering occupations that fall under the following NOCs:
- Accounting technicians and bookkeepers (NOC 12200)
- Administrative assistants (NOC 13110)
- Restaurant and food service managers (NOC 60030)
- Food service supervisors (NOC 62020)
- Cooks (NOC 63200)
- Bakers (NOC 63202)
Please note: The New Brunswick Student connection under the New Brunswick Express Entry stream is not returning for 2025.
Qualifying New Brunswick graduates with an eligible job or job offer are still invited to apply under the New Brunswick Employment pathway of the New Brunswick Express Entry stream. Alternatively, these graduates can explore other available pathways under the New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream, the New Brunswick Strategic Initiative stream for francophone applicants, and/or the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
The New Brunswick Express Entry stream is designed for highly skilled foreign nationals in the federal Express Entry pool. These individuals are looking to make New Brunswick their permanently home and contribute to the province’s growth. A nomination from ImmigrationNB will increase their chances of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residency from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
You may receive an invitation to apply if you meet the criteria of one of the pathways:
Employment in New Brunswick
- You have a full-time, non-seasonal job or job offer from a New Brunswick employer.
- You have been living and working in New Brunswick for at least 12 months.
New Brunswick Interests
- You have received a letter of interest in your federal Express Entry profile.
Meeting the invitation criteria does not guarantee that you will receive an invitation to apply or be nominated. Other conditions may apply. Please carefully review the application guide that applies to your specific situation for more information.
Start with the “Important Information for All Streams” document to learn about what you should know before applying for a nomination, then carefully read the guide that applies to your specific pathway to learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply.
