Professionalism and Integrity

GFK Immigration Consultant Inc. was incorporated and received the letter of authority to practice and use the protected title RCIC (Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant) in early 2022.

Only some people can charge you a fee or receive any other type of payment for immigration and citizenship advice. These people are called “authorized” representatives. They are:

  • Citizenship or immigration consultants who are members in good standing of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC)
  • Lawyers and paralegals who are members in good standing of a Canadian provincial or territorial law society and
  • Notaries who are members in good standing of the Chambre des notaires du Québec

RCIC led companies like GFK Immigration not only have to abide by the Code of Professional Conduct set by the CICC but we must maintain competence and currency in the immigration field throughout our careers by participating in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

The College has an online Public Register of RCICs. Anyone can use this Public Register to help verify a Canadian immigration consultant’s status as a licensee of the College.

However, the essential competencies for an RCIC to practice; foundation knowledge of Canadian immigration laws, legal research, critical thinking, problem solving, cultural competence, business leadership and management, communication, counseling, and advocacy are just a few of the advantages you gain when you choose GFK Immigration to represent you in immigration and citizenship matters. That is why you should choose an authorized paid representative.

Attentive and meticulous

Everyone who is considering immigration decides to leave the familiar to embrace something unfamiliar. They will many times be leaving a people, place, culture, way of life etc. for something new. It could be a daunting proposition at times but they need to be heard and represented competently.

Processing immigration applications require strict attention to detail, a deep awareness of timelines and deliverables, careful handling of client files and information and most of all regular and consistent communication with clients. These things come natural to me or are second nature due to my 30+ year career as a professional engineer in the province of Ontario. I have a deep understanding of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and IRCC regulations such that I can guide clients to put their best food forward as they apply for Government of Canada immigration programs.
