New Ontario Express Entry Draw Sent Out 1,307 PR Invitations

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Express Entry draw today issued a total of 1,307 invitations for provincial nomination under the Skilled Trades Stream.

All Express Entry profiles with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 405 and 435 and experience in one of the 47 skilled trade occupations specified as primary NOC were selected in this round of invitations.

Furthermore, this OINP draw considered all the active Express Entry profiles that were created between October 17, 2023, and October 17, 2024 and satisfied the aforementioned criteria.

The threshold score range has narrowed in comparison to the previous OINP Skilled Trades Stream draw.

The lower range of the CRS score has increased by 5 points, from 400 to 405, while the upper range remains unchanged at 435.

According to the most recent federal Express Entry draw for 10 trade occupations, OINP typically establishes the upper range of the CRS score.

However, trade candidates in the pool have consistently expressed their concerns about the exclusion of profiles with experience in the remaining 35–37 occupations from both OINP Express Entry draws and Federal Express Entry draws.

Candidates who receive an invitation now have 45 days to accept it and submit a comprehensive application in order to be considered for the provincial nomination.

As a result of the provincial nomination, the invited candidates’ Express Entry profile is now qualified to receive a 600-point boost if they accept OINP invitations.

The Express Entry CRS score of the invited profiles will be elevated to a range of 1,005 to 1,035, which will ensure their inclusion in the upcoming PNP or all program Express Entry draws.

The Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream draw does not necessitate a distinctive OINP profile; rather, valid profiles must correspond to one of the trade occupations that are eligible for this draw.

OINP regularly evaluates the IRCC-maintained Express Entry pool to find profiles that might be compatible with one of Ontario’s Express Entry streams.
