Online survey of refugee

Online survey of refugee clients of the Resettlement Assistance Program

Ottawa, July 10, 2024—Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is conducting an online survey of government-assisted refugees on their experiences with the Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP). The survey will help IRCC understand which resettlement initiatives are working well, and which need improvement. IRCC can then strengthen its RAP to better meet the needs of newcomers to Canada.

About the survey

Participation in the survey is voluntary and confidential. IRCC will use the information from the survey only to help improve the department’s programs and services. Participants’ answers won’t affect any past, current or future applications with IRCC.

  • Beginning the week of July 15, 2024, an invitation to take the survey will be sent by email to all government-assisted refugees (principal applicants only) who became permanent residents between March 1, 2022, and July 31, 2023.
  • The online survey takes about 10 minutes to complete.
  • It’s available in multiple languages: English, French, Arabic, Dari, Kinyarwanda, Pashto, Somali, Swahili and Tigrinya.
  • The deadline to complete the survey is July 28, 2024.
